Walt Disney World Resort is the presenting sponsor of the MEAC-SWAC Challenge, an ESPN Regional Television (ERT) owned-and-operated event, featuring teams from two prominent HBCU (Historically Black College/University) leagues — Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).

This is the second year that the event will be held in Orlando and will showcase a college football match-up between the Gambling University Tigers  of Louisiana and the Bulldogs of South Carolina State, Sunday, September 6, 2009, live at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN2, from the Florida Citrus Bowl. The first three years, this pre-season game was played at Legion Field in Birmingham , Ala.

The game in Birmingham brought in above 25,000 people. Orlando brought in 11,000 its first year and will bring more this year.   In addition to the traditional ticket sales, there is an organized grass-roots selling program that is targeted to the under 40 urban population. We are offering product exclusivity as part of the higher levels of the sponsorship agreements.
